CLEVELAND , Ohio - U.S. Marshals have arrested two people in connection with a deadly shooting at a downtown Cleveland nightclub back in December.On Dec. 7, 2025, 23-year-old Monte Baker was shot and killed at Medusa nightclub, located at 1437 St.
Clair Avenue. Officers working in the area were flagged down and alerted about a man who had been shot inside the nightclub.Marshals worked with Cleveland Police homicide detectives to identify the suspects. According to a release, investigators first identified Steven Cooperwood, 28, as a suspect in the shooting. According to a release, investigators first identified Steven Cooperwood, 28, as a suspect in the shooting.Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force located him and, on Christmas Eve, arrested him at a home in the 1600 block of Sunset Avenue in Akron.On Wednesday, members of the task force arrested Hunter at an address in the 6300 block of White Avenue in Cleveland. It is incredible that there were not more victims when these suspects opened fire in a crowded night club. Cleveland homicide detectives worked diligently to identify both suspects and our teams worked very closely with those detectives to ensure the individuals wanted for such heinous crimes are off the streets and brought to justice.
