A pursuit involving a box truck and deputies started at a Walmart store in west Harris County and ended at another Walmart store in the Westchase area, according to the sheriff's office. The Harris County Sheriff's Office said it responded to a call at 6060 Fry Road regarding suspects allegedly stealing merchandise. The suspects fled the scene in a box truck, and when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the suspects refused to stop, according to HCSO.
Houston TranStar cameras at the time of the pursuit show a box truck followed by law enforcement vehicles with lights and sirens along the Katy Freeway. At one point during the chase, Gonzalez posted that the suspects were on Kirkwood Road near Memorial Drive, maintaining low speeds but refusing to stop. Shortly before 6 p.m., Gonzalez confirmed that the suspects bailed out of the box truck at the Walmart store located near the intersection of Kirkwood and Westheimer Roads. Copyright © 2026 KTRK-TV.
