When officers arrived, they found the bicyclist injured on the ground. First responders provided medical attention, but the man died at the scene. He was identified Tuesday afternoon as Juan Mucino. Police announced Tuesday that the 19-year-old had turned himself in. After, investigators were able to locate the SUV they believe was involved in the fatal crash. No further information was released Tuesday.
Detectives are working with the Salt Lake County district attorney’s office “to file the appropriate charges,” police said.
