A 19-year-old man is facing charges after he was found driving a stolen car with stolen firearms inside.
On Wednesday, an officer with the St. George Police Department responded to northbound I-15 near exit four to assist a Utah Department of Transportation employee with a stolen vehicle.Hinson reportedly drove the car until it ran out of gas. He also knew that the car he was driving had been reported as stolen, the affidavit states.Hinson told officers the vehicle was a relative's and that he had stolen it that morning to drive to Las Vegas, the affidavit states.
One of the firearms was Hinsons, and the other two belonged to the owner of the vehicle, the affidavit states.He told officers he entered the owner's closet, who he lives with, and took the firearms without permission.
