19News reporter Winnie Dortch was wounded, and a man died Monday morning in a shooting in Lakewood, police said. CLEVELAND, Ohio – A man died and a Channel 19 News reporter was seriously hurt Monday in a shooting during a domestic dispute, police say.
Lakewood police were called before 8 a.m. for reports of an argument between two people. Police said when officers arrived, they found a man and a woman on a sidewalk on Chase Avenue, south of Clifton Boulevard.Officers and firefighters administered aid to Dortch, who was later transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. Police said her wounds were considered serious but had no update on her condition as of Monday afternoon.Police did not release Carter’s relationship to Dortch.
