There is a variety of events and competitions dogs and their owners can attend - and even a doggy ballpit
The two-day festival has been taking place in the North Leeds stately home's grounds today and will continue on Sunday, September 24. There are a variety of events on geared towards the pooches and gift shops where you can pick up a range of doggy treats - there's even a doggy ball pit.
The festival includes the 'action arena', 'have-a-go-arena' and the 'fun dog show' areas. Owners can enter their dogs into judged competitions, like the 'Cool Pup', 'Golden Oldies', 'Best Treat Catcher and 'Dog Who has embarrassed their owner', to name but a few of the categories.
A statement on the DogFest website says:"With two days of thrilling dog action, set against the backdrop of seven of the UK’s most gorgeous stately homes and gardens, it’s no surprise DogFest is the social highlight of the season. "You’ll find world-class displays from top canine athletes, free expert advice and workshops, have-a-go activities to take part in, shopping, treats plus plenty of play!"
