Extreme winds blew through Northeast Ohio Friday afternoon.
It remains very windy through the middle of the night, but the most extreme winds will not be repeated as those occurred with a front crossing the area. Wind gusts will generally be in the 40 to 50 mph range until around 4 a.
m. but may occasionally top out over 50 or 60 mph. Meanwhile, temperatures drop significantly this evening and end up in the low 30s by Saturday morning.High temperatures reach the upper 30s. The wind will be significantly lighter between 5 and 10 mph from the northwest initially, shifting to the northeast later in the day.On Sunday, temperatures spike back to the low 70s for the afternoon after a warm front lifts through during the morning.The wind steadily increases again on Sunday, and gusts may reach the 40 to 50 mph range again Sunday afternoon, night, and even into Monday. Another strong cold front blows through on Monday, bringing showers in the morning followed by a sharp temperature drop to the 30s during the afternoon.
