Since the beginning of the year, the police have seized various drugs including ketum leaves and ketum drinks worth RM213 million.
Bukit Aman narcotics crime investigation department said in a statement posted on Facebook that four of those arrested were detained under Section 3 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1985. Authorities had also seized various types of drugs as well as ketum leaves and ketum drinks worth RM213 million. “The NCID also crippled a total of 118 syndicates, involving 366 arrests, busted four drug labs and arrested four chemists. It also confiscated various assets belonging to the syndicates worth RM32.8 million, while RM2.7 million in assets were forfeited,” it said.
