18-year-old Mira Mesa man fatally shot in front of his home identified [Breaking]

Brian Mendoza-Camacho was gunned down about 9:30 a.m. Oct. 5 on Deering Street, in a residential neighborhood north of Mira Mesa Boulevard and west of Camino Ruiz. Officers found him lying in the street outside of his home, San Diego police Lt. Jud Campbell said.

As of Wednesday, homicide detectives were still trying to gather information about the circumstances of the shooting, including whether there was any sort of interaction between Mendoza-Camacho and shooter or shooters.Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the homicide unit at 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 580-8477.
