Nazzir Wallace had a loaded gun when he was arrested weeks after the shooting, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
An 18 year old has been charged with attempted murder weeks after authorities say he shot and injured another man in Asbury Park.
Nazzir Wallace, of Asbury Park, opened fire on the man about 11 p.m on Aug. 30 on the 100 block of Memorial Drive, theThe man was treated for his injuries at an area hospital. Authorities didn’t describe what led up to the shooting. Wallace was arrested last week after a short pursuit. Police said he was found with cocaine and a loaded gun while being taken into custody.
Wallace is also charged with weapons offenses, drug offenses, eluding and resisting arrest authorities. He has been held at the Monmouth County jail since Thursday, according to online jail records.Attorney information wasn’t immediately available.
