18-year-old arrested, accused of attacking parents, throwing knife at San Diego police officer [Breaking]

An 18-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of attacking his parents at a Rancho Peñasquitos home and throwing a knife at an officer, San Diego police said.

The man reportedly grabbed several knives, punched his mother in the nose and bit his father, who summoned police to the home on Brassica Street, north of Ragweed Street, around 7 p.m. When officers arrived, the man at some point threw a knife at an officer, who was not hurt, police said.Officers surrounded the home and got the man to surrender around 8 p.m. No further information was immediately available.
