A traffic stop in Seguin, Texas, led to the discovery of 18 immigrants concealed within a tanker attached to an 18-wheeler. Authorities say the immigrants, hailing from countries like El Salvador, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, were unharmed and provided with food and water before being released to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Deputies discovered over a dozen immigrants hidden inside an 18-wheeler during a traffic stop, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.Eighteen immigrants were found hidden inside the tank attached to the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. The immigrants were removed from the tank without further incident. Authorities said none of them suffered injuries. Deputies said the immigrants were then provided food and water before being released to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
According to officials, the immigrants were from various countries, including El Salvador, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident
