The leisure facilities will include a 25m six-lane swimming pool with spectator gallery, an 80-station gym and spa facilities
Templemore Baths in East Belfast are set to open next January with the original refurbished building to reopen later in the Spring.
It will also include many original features which have been sympathetically restored including the “major pool,” which will be fully operational again, and the old slipper baths. The former courtyard has been transformed into an attractive new atrium where a café will be located. “Templemore will be the sixth of seven new and upgraded leisure facilities that make up Council’s £105 million Leisure Transformation Programme. Following the opening of Lisnasharragh in 2019 and Avoniel last year, when Templemore reopens, east Belfast will be blessed with three state-of-the-art leisure facilities.”
