According to police, the teen, who was not identified, was on a scooter on the roadway when he was struck by a 2012 Cadillac SRX driving northbound on Orange Avenue, which then fled the scene. Soon after, the female driver crashed into a nearby building located at 6100 Orange Avenue. The victim received life-saving measures on scene before being rushed to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
