Nawalan daw ng preno ang truck kaya hindi na ito makontrol ng driver. Ilang bata na sakay ng van ang kabilang sa mga nasawi.Sa ulat ng Super Radyo dzBB, sinabing nangyari ang insidente sa bahagi ng Barangay Luhong. Ayon kay Police Captain Godofredo Tupas II, Antipas Police chief, patuloy pa ang isinasagawa nilang imbestigasyon sa pangyayayari.
Sa Monkayo, Davao de Oro naman, nasawi ang konduktor ng bus, at sugatan ang 22 sakay nito nang bumangga sila sa isang nakatigil na container van sa gilid ng daan.Nagkaroon umano ng problema sa makina ang container van kaya ipinarada ito sa gilid ng kalsada.
