Authorities arrested 17 people at hotels in Ohio as part of an anti-prostitution bust.
17 arrested in Ohio prostitution bust include college professor and dentist
The sting operations resulted in 17 people being arrested and charged with engaging in prostitution. One of whom was identified as a professor at Columbus State Community College, and another was identified as a pediatric dentist from Lancaster. These guys are going there with the hope that they’re going to get what’s been advertised to them and not knowing that it’s a law enforcement officer that they’re actually chatting with, and not only are they chatting with the law enforcement officer, it’s not the same person that they meet in the hotel room," said Fairfield County Sheriff Alex Lape.
Ruey Bruce, 60, is a professor at Columbus State, the sheriff said. Bruce is featured on the college's website under physical sciences faulty. WSYX received the following comment from Columbus State:
