Home Minister Amit Shah, who spoke during a debate on the no-confidence motion in the parliament against the government, said all efforts are being made to ensure peace in the state. The violence in Manipur started in May after a court ruling directed the state government to submit recommendations for the inclusion of the Meitei community in the Scheduled Tribe category, which enraged the state's tribal population.
