Jazmir Tucker was fatally shot by Akron police on Nov. 28, 2024.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio - The Summit County Medical Examiner released the findings from the autopsy of Jazmir Tucker Wednesday morning.
Tucker’s hands were not tested for gunshot residue, because the medical examiner’s office discontinued those tests in 2016. Tucker, a freshman at North High School, was pronounced deceased from his injuries at a local hospital. While Jazmir’s family is deeply saddened to know that nothing can bring him back, they are heartened by the outpouring of support and prayers being shown by the community. They do not want another family to go through such a horrific tragedy and encourage the city of Akron to take every measure possible to protect citizens and properly train its officers."
