Police were investigating early Wednesday after a teenager was shot in the neck in southeast Houston, officials said.
Officers around 1 a.m. responded to a shooting in the 8400 block of Park Place Boulevard, Lt. Ronnie Willkens of the Houston Police Department told Metro Video Services reporters. A 14-year-old was taken to the hospital in serious condition, with a gunshot wound to the neck. Witnesses told police the teen had been in a vehicle with several others near an apartment complex when someone approached the vehicle and began firing into it, Willkens said.The shooting remained under investigation.
