A 14-year-old girl was shot as she was leaving a party Saturday at midnight.
A 14-year-old girl is wounded after a shooting in the South Shore neighborhood Saturday at midnight.
Police said the girl was walking outside at 12 a.m., in the 7800 block of South Kingston, when she was shot. The teen told police she was at a party when she got into an argument with a"known suspect." She told police she knew earlier in the evening that the person had a handgun. That person then threatened to shoot the girl if she did not leave.
She was shot as she was leaving. She suffered a graze wound to the back and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition.
