A 14-year-old girl is facing charges after being behind the wheel of a vehicle involved in a crash on the Schuylkill Expressway that caused a 15-year-old boy to die after being ejected from it, according to state police.attempted to stop a black Hyundai Sonata traveling eastbound on I-76 at mile marker 342.2 in Philadelphia around 5:50 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the teen sped away from police after failing to yield to emergency lights. The driver then lost control, crashed into a concrete barrier, and rolled several times up an embankment before stopping.Police said the boy and three other juveniles who were occupants of the Sonata were taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Troopers said the 15-year-old boy died a short time later at the hospital.
