ORMOC CITY — A 14-year-old boy died in a fire of still unknown origin in Purok 5, Barangay Capoocan, Calbayog City, Samar at about 1:48 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 4.
Senior Insp. Jimmy Pasague, Calbayog fire marshal, identified the fatality as Lou Renz Bacsal, a student of the Calbayog City National High school.Bacsal’s mother, who is a nurse, was on duty in one of the hospitals in Calbayog when the fire occurred. Senior Fire Officer 1 Winnie Bartolome, case investigator, said they were still conducting an investigation to find out what caused the fire.
