FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old student from Indian Trails Middle School was arrested Friday morning afterThe teen faces charges of aggravated assault and exhibition of a weapon on school grounds.

Before the start of class, two female students got into a physical altercation which was broken up by school staff. After the altercation, deputies say the 14-year-old removed a knife from his backpack and held it in a threatening way toward students. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly reminded students and parents about the county's zero-tolerance policy when it comes to bringing any weapon to school.
