If you’re sick of living in the cursed year 2021, allow me to briefly take you back, back to a time when the termwere but a twinkle in each other’s eyes, and when a young scammer by the name of Anna Delvey was lighting up the internet.
in 2019 on charges of attempted grand larceny, larceny in the second degree, and theft of services, she was well on her way to being captured for posterity in not one butand helmed by Shonda Rhimes, dropped its first on-set images this week, and naturally I had thoughts. Take a look at the photos, and read all of my ensuing musings below.
The mug shot image of Garner as Delvey above probably hews closest to what we’ve seen of the woman herself, who had a penchant for messy hair and on-the-razor’s-edge-of-basic ensembles that, as myI appreciate what Garner is doing here, eye-wise; her Delvey looks appropriately terrified yet determined to keep it cool and detached.
