FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A Homer man who won more than $13 million in the Alaska Lotto flew to Fairbanks to be presented a check at its Gaffney Road office.Three days later, the lucky winner made his way to Fairbanks to accept his check from Lotto Alaska .
Around noon on August 7, the gaming operator presented Ravin with a large printed check for a total of $13,385,691.40. In a quick ceremony before heading off to the bank, Ravin described his feelings about winning the money, saying, “You probably couldn’t have given that money to a happier guy. I have a wife that loves me. I have a house with a view. I own my own business. If you guys would’ve denied me this I would’ve come home and still been happy, honest to God.
