There are a couple of ways to freeze bananas. You can either freeze them whole in their skins, or you can peel them, slice them and freeze them like that in a freezer-safe container. That way they're ready to be made into ice cream, or can be chucked into a smoothie.To thaw a banana that's been frozen in its skin, simply remove from the freezer and allow to thaw at room temperature until you're able to remove the skin.
