The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 12-year-old boy Thursday night at his Crestview home after he allegedly threatened to bring weapons to Shoal River Middle School to kill two students who reportedly had been bullying him.

Authorities began investigating Thursday and said they found text messages from the 12-year-old indicating that he planned to bring a knife and/or gun to Shoal River Middle School because two students were continually bullying him. The arrest report indicated that the boy was alleged taunted about his race, his autism, his weight and his family and further stated that the boy said that he “was just pushed off the edge and if I cannot control it, one of them might die tomorrow.” The report also said the boy stated that he believed by sending the messages, he “would appear ‘bigger’ and more intimidating.
