The 12-year-old girl who was found strangled to death in a Texas creek will be laid to rest Thursday.
Funeral services for Jocelyn Nungaray will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home in Houston, according to
Two suspects, Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 22, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, were each charged with capital murder in connection to the child's death.. They "both illegally entered the U.S. without inspection, parole or admission by a U.S. immigration officer," the spokesperson said in an email.
Police said surveillance footage shared by the community and area businesses helped authorities determine where Nungaray and her assailants were moments leading up to her last moments.
