This is at least the fourth such arrest involving threats at Riverside County schools since Sept. 11.
A 12-year-old boy was arrested at his home in Moreno Valley on Wednesday on suspicion of making threats against students that were investigated in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The investigation led to the suspect — whose identity was not released — and his residence was searched. The Jurupa Unified School District on social media on Wednesday noted that as in Monday’s case, the 12-year-old arrested Wednesday is not a Jurupa Unified student. “Please report anything of concern to law enforcement and remind your students to be mindful of what they post on social media. Those found to have made threatening posts will be held accountable and face serious consequences,” said a school district statement.
