A 12-year-old boy died in a two-vehicle accident on the East Coast Highway 1 (LPT1) in Maran, Malaysia. The accident occurred around 1 am involving a Toyota Alphard and a trailer truck. The boy, Muhammad Al Amin Mohd. Adil, was sitting in the front left seat of the Alphard. The driver of the Alphard and five other passengers sustained serious head and body injuries, while the 35-year-old truck driver was unharmed.

Muhammad Al Amin Mohd. Adil yang duduk di bahagian hadapan kiri kenderaan pelbagai guna Toyota Alphard meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian dalam nahas kira-kira pukul 1 pagi itu. Pemandu Toyota Alphard, Mohd. Adil Mat Nor, 41, dan lima penumpang lain mengalami kecederaan parah bahagian kepala dan dad manakala pemandu lori treler berusia 35 tahun tidak mengalami kecederaan.
Ketua Polis Daerah Maran, Suprintendan Wong Kim Wai berkata, siasatan awal mendapati, kemalangan berlaku semasa Toyota Alphard dipandu oleh Mohd. Adil bersama keluarganya dalam perjalanan dari arah Kuala Lumpur menghala ke Kuala Terengganu. “Apabila tiba di tempat kejadian, Toyota Alphrad itu dipercayai merempuh bahagian belakang lori berkenaan berhenti di lorong kecemasan sebelah kiri kerana mengalami kerosakan pada bahagian tayar,” katanya di sini hari ini. – UTUSAN
