But for many, the first time they kiss another queer person or a person of the same gender, there's a whole different kind of spark. It can feel like something entirely new and entirely right all at once, pulling back the curtain to reveal a world you might not have been sure about but are excited to enter.
It was my boss at the time’s girlfriend who was also one of my best friends . I had always known I wasn’t 100% straight, but that night we stood in line for the bathroom together , and she came into the bathroom with me and she kissed me. And it was like everything I had known for years was confirmed for me in that moment. As I told my best friend later, it wasn’t that weird that I had kissed a girl, mostly that that girl was one of my best friends.
