Thanksgiving travel will force many people to eat at the airport, where fast food restaurants rule, giant cinnamon buns beckon and heart-healthy foods don’t exactly dominate the menu. Problems including a shortage of air traffic controllers and severe weather are threatening flight delays this week. So what’s a health-conscious traveler stuck at the airport to eat? Almost 6 million people will fly over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2024, which would be a record, AAA predicts.
