Researchers from the United States claim to have identified the probable launch site for a new type of nuclear-powered nuclear cruise missile developed by Russia .
The nuclear-powered propulsion of the cruise missile has raised much curiosity among all parties concerned and is thought to add special features to the cruise missile.In his address, the Russian President had stated that the nuclear-powered missile was ‘invincible’ and could defeat any missile defense system., based on a report by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the nuclear-powered missile is thought to have a notional range of 12,400 miles .
The same report also mentions that one of the testing of the missile in 2019 had resulted in an explosion which led to at least five Russian nuclear experts losing their lives.The US researchers state that Russia is deploying the Burevestnik missile at a nuclear warhead storage facility known as Vologda-20 or Chebsara. The site is approximately 295 miles north of Moscow.
