A local couple faces charges in the death of their 11-month-old child after allegedly failing to feed and care for the boy.
CANTON, Ohio -
Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren says officers arrived with the Canton Fire Department in the 1600 block of 10th St. NW and found the baby not breathing June 25. The child was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he later died. Canton Municipal Court records state the parents, 26-year-old Eric Rush and 30-year-old Tyasia Singleton, were arrested by authorities that day for charges of permitting child abuse and child endangerment. Singleton also faces a charge of domestic violence.The criminal complaint states Singleton left the 11-month-old baby in Rush’s custody, which was violation of a Child Protective Services agreement.
