'It was a little bit too much fun.'
premiere and spoke to the cast and crew about what it was like bringing the movie to life:Kaley and Pete would often improv their lines on set, to the point where Kaley would apologize to the director.Kaley told BuzzFeed,"He's so funny. Obviously, we had a lot of stuff together and we would improv like crazy. Working with him — who's got such a background in doing that, and made it very easy. It was a little bit too much fun. We would go off on these tangents.
"We knew that it was going to be a sundress, we knew that it was going to be yellow — because, in my conversations with Laura, the production designer, her sets were always going to be red and blue. To complete that primary color palette, that dress was always going to be yellow," Michelle recalled.The montage where Sheila and Gary go on their"first date" and play with sparklers is where the direction of the movie's score began to click into place.
