A 101-year-old woman was in critical condition on Friday after a fire swept through her apartment in Bergen County, authorities said.
Police were called shortly after 8 a.m. to a fire at an apartment on Rennie Place in Lodi, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.“The woman was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. The woman remained in critical condition on Friday afternoon. The prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit and Lodi police are investigating the cause of the fire.
