Police found two packages of Black Cat fireworks in the men’s possession. Police confiscated the fireworks and advised the men on the city’s fireworks ordinances.An unidentified motorcycle driver led police on a high-speed chase at about 9:30 a.m. July 8. The driver traveled left of center on northbound North Rocky River. The motorcycle’s speed exceeded 65 mph. Police observed that the motorcycle had no license plate.
The man didn’t have a driver’s license. He said no drugs or weapons were in his vehicle, but police noticed that he was staring at the Ridgeline’s center console when he said that, which police believed was suspicious.After searching the Ridgeline, police found a metal container with a white crystal substance in the man’s pants pocket.A Cleveland man, 36, and a Bedford Heights woman, 27, were arrested at about 2 a.m. July 4 for driving drunk and obstructing official business, respectively.
The couple initially denied switching seats but later admitted doing so. The woman lied about her identify at first but later provided her correct name. A neighbor had called police to complain about the music. When police arrived, they heard the music and determined it was too loud.
