PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong marked 100 days in office as the Transport Minister by vowing to continue working hard and ensuring that the ministry achieves its missions.
Dr Wee said although he was given the post amid the country’s battle with the Covid-19 pandemic, he dedicated himself to focus on the ministry’s overall portfolio.
On June 1, a briefing was held with the Road Transport Department to finalise the proposal which will be presented to the Cabinet on June 26 before being tabled in Parliament. A dedicated website to ease the application of Prihatin aid for tour bus drivers was also introduced while cargo clearance activities at major ports were carried out to ensure the continuity of export and e-commerce activities.
