I’m sure you remember that while the drama started out as Taylor Swift vs. Kanye “Ye” West, Kim Kardashian ended up at the center of it — and loads of internet users, including celebrities, shared their thoughts on whose side they were on.
To recap, things kicked off in 2016 when Kanye released a controversial lyric about Taylor in his song “Famous,” seemingly referencing the moment that he interrupted her on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do. ”And then, as I’m sure we all remember, Kim took to Snapchat to release video footage of Taylor and Kanye’s phone call, in which Taylorthe lyric.
“Yeah. I mean, go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice!
” she could be heard saying. Taylor maintained that she hadn’t been made aware of Kanye’s “that bitch” line, calling the entire thing a “character assassination. ” As we now know, it was later revealed that Taylor had never actually approved the “that bitch” lyric at all when themagazine in 2023, “Make no mistake — my career was taken away from me.

I went down really, really hard. ”From floods of snake emojis under her posts to hashtags like #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty and #KimExposedTaylorParty trending on X, it’s safe to say that Taylor was absolutely berated online in 2016.
And this hate was massively fueled by Kim, who tweeted, “Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!? They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days! ” alongside a ton of snake emojis just hours before she released the Snapchat of the phone call. During this time, there were several celebrities whose social media activity suggested that they’d sided with Kim during the feud.
And ten years on from the drama, several X users areZendaya, who starred in Taylor’s 2014 “Bad Blood” music video, liked — and then unliked — a tweet featuring photos of her and Taylor posing with members of the singer’s then-renowned girl squad. The post branded the group “evil,” while Zendaya liked a quote tweet that read, “Crop zendaya out of this. She is pure.
” She also liked another post that said, “I’m glad zendaya was never really down with that whole Taylor squad shit. ”Pharrell Williams is another celebrity who liked a post in support of Kim, with the hashtag #KimExposedTaylorParty. He later unliked the tweet.
Meanwhile, there were several celebs who overtly supported Kim — including some of her sisters. Khloé Kardashian tweeted, “Kim is a savage! Don't fuck with her man hunni,” while Kendall Jenner shared a bunch of snake emojis in a now-deleted post.

Bouncing around all these parties.. #KimExposedTaylorParty #SelenaGomezIsOverParty. ” At the same time, many famous figures also tweeted in support of Taylor, or just simply urged others not to fuel the drama. Model Martha Hunt wrote, “Take interest in the real problems going on. Spread love,” while Chloë Grace Moretz tweeted, “Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what's ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world.
