The famously grouchy cat is known for his love of lasagna and hatred of Mondays.

Garfield mocks Jon and his outfit and plays with his hat and tie to emphasize their ridiculousness. Finally, Jon has enough and throws him through a window.
5 Garfield, Go Back To Bed Jon awakens to Garfield sitting on his chest, saying nothing. Jon, creeped out, asks him to go back to bed. Garfield obliges, making the same haunting-looking facial expression with his eyes pointing in opposite directions - something he's apparently now passed on to Jon. In recent years, the "Garfield, Go Back To Bed" comic has become a meme online, purely for how surreal this entire strip is.
