George had 35 in December in a loss in Atlanta, James Harden had two games of 35 points after turning 32 and before that it was Doc, Leroy Kellis, Kevin Loughery, Hal Greer and Dolph Schayes.With his 3-pointer with 25 seconds left on his 40th birthday, Kyle Lowry became the oldest player in 76ers history with a 3-pointer. The previous oldest 76er with a 3 was Lowry, who was 39 years and 321 days when he made his last one, in Portland on Feb. 9. The oldest 76er with a 3 before Lowry was P.J. Tucker, who was 38 years, 177 days, when he made a 3 vs. Portland in October 2023. Lowry is the 18NBA player to make a 3 after turning 40, a group that also includes Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Michael Jordan, John Stockton, Steve Nash and LeBron James.-most in franchise history and are the most ever in a home game. The only times they made more 3’s were 23 in a win at Indy in 2022, 24 in a win in Toronto in 2024 and 24 in a win in Houston last March. Their 47 3-point shots are 7-most in franchise history. The Bulls also took 47 3’s . This was the fourth time the 76ers have played a game where both teams shot 47 or more 3’s. The 76ers’ 57 field goals matched their most since they had 59 in a 134-109 win over the Nuggets in December 1988. They also had 57 in a win over the Suns in 1990 and a win over the Cavs in 2019.Embiid had seven assists, V.J. Edgecombe had six, Quentin Grimes and Dominick Barlow five apiece and Paul George had four. This is the seventh time in 76ers history all five starters have had at least four assists. The fewest turnovers previously by a team scoring at least 157 points was 11 by the Bucks in a 171-166 triple-overtime win over the Spurs at HemisFair Arena in San Antonio on March 6, 1982.Justin Edwards was plus-20 in just 14 points. And Paul George, in his first game since Jan. 29, had 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals, making him the oldest player in 76ers history to reach those benchmarks in a game. The previous oldest was Doc, who was 32 when he had 29 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in a win in Houston in 1983. Only 13 other players in NBA history have hit those figures in a game after turning 35, including LeBron, Karl Malone, John Havlicek, Larry Byrd, Clyde Drexler, Kobe and Jimmy Butler. George is also the first player in NBA history with 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals in fewer than 26 minutes after turning 35.
