The word “underrated” gets thrown around a lot, to the point where maybe it’s one descriptor that’s overrated… or just overused. And here, it’s going to get used again; one more instance of it being thrown around, or thrown onto the pile. But it’s fun, you know? Highlighting underrated titles can be a win-win. Those who haven’t heard of such titles can check them out, and those who have can feel good about themselves for having already done some deep-digging.

It's kind of stupid, but The Super Inframan seems aware of exactly what it is, and doesn’t have any pretensions about being some kind of martial arts masterpiece in the traditional sense. Instead, it’s a wonderful blend of monster movie, superhero film, and action cinema, just feeling relentless, chaotic, wild, and entirely unpredictable in all the best ways. It can’t be overstated just how entertaining this one ends up being.

It genuinely, actually works somehow. It’s best to think of it as an ultra-1980s take on Cyrano de Bergerac, with an editing style that makes it feel like one extended music video and so many great ‘80s tracks from start to finish on the soundtrack. The plot is simple and silly, yet ultimately charming, and it just captures a certain vibe that can overwhelm in the best sort of way, so long as viewers are willing to let their guards down and just embrace what Electric Dreams has to offer.

The Falls covers these people one at a time, spending a couple of minutes on average on each. Slowly, attentive viewers might be able to piece together what happened to the world, but easy answers aren’t necessarily prioritized here. The mystery element is fun, though, as is the bleak sense of humor used throughout The Falls, with it being a distinctly presented and darkly comedic sci-fi epic/mockumentary. To call it unique would probably be underselling it.
