9 Peter Quill, A.K.A. Star-Lord Upon his introduction in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt's Peter Quill was thought to be only a regular human with no special abilities other than his skill, wit, and knowledge of space. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 changed this idea, as it was revealed that Quill's father was actually the Celestial Ego, which meant that Quill had access to Celestial abilities, including energy and matter manipulation and immortality.
6 Mantis Mantis' weakened powers are an interesting case, as this seemed to happen for no good reason at all. In Pom Klementieff's first appearance as Mantis during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, she was shown to be able to put the Celestial Ego to sleep while the Guardians tried to battle him and the Sovereign. However, in Avengers: Infinity War, Mantis struggled to hold the Mad Titan Thanos, who had nowhere near as much power as a Celestial.
