It’s actually been 10 years since Detective Jake Peralta and the beloved BrooklynThe cop comedy first graced our screens in 2013 [ September 17] and has become a firm favourite with fans – who famously saved the show from being cancelled in 2018.

But did you know the comedic duo are named after the writers and producers of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Norm Hiscock and Mike Scully, who were also writers on creator’s Michael Schur’s previous sitcom, Parks and Recreation.Andy and Chelsea Peretti went to elementary school together, and that’s not all.
