Hop into a fun holiday with an egg hunt, live musical performances and other exciting activities

In the days leading up to and on Easter , San Francisco will offer basket-loads of fun with egg hunts, appearances by the Easter Bunny, live musical performances and other activities. Here are some of The City’s best events to celebrate the forthcoming Christian religious holiday, which takes place April 5.

Egg hunt at Yerba Buena Gardens This SoMa city park will teem with a family-friendly celebration featuring live music, games, special prizes and an Easter Bunny photo booth. Egg hunts for children ages 13 and below will be held from 10:15 a.m. to noon.Egg hunt in the Presidio Canvas Church members are bringing a morning of holiday fun to their 385 Moraga Ave. building. There will be crafts, face-painting stations, bubbles, a rock-climbing wall, a petting zoo and food trucks. A 9,000-egg hunt will take place at 10:30 a.m., according to organizers.Spring Hop at Lakeside Landing The open-air community space at 2504 Ocean Ave. will come to life with coloring, hula hoops, free candy, a raffle with prizes and live music. Employees from Gregangelo Museum and Velocity Arts will bring live rabbits for children to meet at the event. Guests can reserve a spot online for the event, which is being hosted by DJ Cocoa Leche. It takes place from 1 to 2 p.m. Sana G Easter Egg Hunt Chase Center employees are once again teaming up with KMEL-FM’s “The Sana G Morning Show” to bring a waterfront holiday celebration to Bayfront Park. There will be egg hunts for children ages 3-11 from 9:10 to 9:50 a.m. Following that, participants are encouraged to visit nearby Thrive City for pictures with the Easter Bunny, family-friendly games and live entertainment. Guests can register online for the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Check-ins for the hunt start at 8 a.m. Salesforce Park Spring Fling Members of the East Cut Community benefit District and the Transbay Joint Powers Authority are hosting their annual Easter celebration in Salesforce Park. There will be crafts, face-painting sessions, live music, an Easter Bunny appearance and beverages for sale by Barebottle Brewing. Their celebration starts at 10 a.m. with games, photos with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt. The main attraction commences at noon, when Sister Roma, Peaches Christ and Honey Mahogany will host the “Foxy Mary,” “Hunky Jesus” and Easter bonnet contests. This year’s theme is “Love Thy Neighbor.” San Francisco Drag Laureate Per Sia, King Papi Churro, Xochitl, Grace Towers and Alotta Boutte will perform at the event.Fort Mason Center Farmers Market Egg Hunt Members of the Fort Mason Center Farmers Market are bringing a waterfront celebration to the area. Organizers said that for a special twist, eggs will be hidden at the over 50 vendor stalls that make up the market. Guests are encouraged to bring their own baskets for the hunt, which starts at 11 a.m. and lasts for 20 minutes, according to organizers.Hair of the Dog Easter Paw-looza Employees at Standard Deviant Brewing’s Pier 70 outpost are hosting a pet-friendly afternoon for San Francisco residents and their furry companions. There will also be a donation station supporting Muttville and an area where parent-pet duos can get portraits.
