8 Is The Suicide Squad Canon In The DCU? Much like Peacemaker, several of the returning actors from the DCEU also appeared in 2021's The Suicide Squad, which was written and directed by Gunn himself. Not only are Viola Davis' Amanda Waller and John Cena's Peacemaker returning, but Sean Gunn will also portray Weasel in 2024's Creature Commandos, the DC Universe's first project, and the prospective beginning of the new canon.
5 Will Gal Gadot Returning For Wonder Woman 3? In recent weeks, there has been a great deal of confusion aimed at a potential Wonder Woman 3 in the DCU, with responses from lead actor Gal Gadot and DC Studios constantly contradicting each other. Gadot initially kicked off speculation that she would be returning as Diana Prince, despite the poor reception to 2020's Wonder Woman 1984 and some disappointing cameos in recent projects.
