10 construction sites closed for flouting SOP, says defence minister
The government is targeting construction sites for maintaining Covid-19 procedures, ordering 10 such sites to close and issuing warnings to 16 more. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 4, 2020.
TEN construction sites have been ordered to be closed for not following the Covid-19 standard operating procedures set up by the National Security Council , said Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today. He said the Construction Industry Development Board issued the closure orders, having inspected 6,559 sites since March 18.
