Some say the best days of the MCU are in the past, but with the X-Men and The Fantastic Four joining the ranks soon, there’s an exciting future ahead for the franchise. It’s better late than never to arrive, but one can’t help but wonder which of the upcoming confirmed characters would have made the fight against Thanos easier.
9 Wonder Man Played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen The lesser-known character Wonder Man will make his MCU debut in the form of a Disney+ series scheduled for later this year. As is the case with all Marvel projects, little is known about the details of the series, but it should be promising with the casting of Yahya Abdul-Matesn in the title role. Wonder Man is being described as a comedy, which might be an indicator that the series will depart from the comic book origins of the hero.
With an aerial advantage and the ability to project a burst of energy that can reach 1,000,000 F, Johnny has proven to be a valuable member of The Fantastic Four and a welcome ally in any large-scale team-up. He is also a great companion to many heroes, complementing their powers to deliver maximum damage. A one-on-one fight with Thanos probably isn’t going to work in the Human Torch’s favor, but it can’t be any worse than the time he met Deadpool.
6 Invisible Woman Played by Vanessa Kirby An invaluable member of The Fantastic Four, the Invisible Woman, known to her friends as Sue Storm, would have made a considerable difference in the defense against Thanos. She was part of the effort to stop the towering Galactus from using Earth as an after-dinner mint. Thus, Sue wouldn’t be intimidated by Thanos and his forces.
4 Silver Surfer Played by Julia Garner One of the most powerful and mysterious characters set to arrive in the MCU is the Silver Surfer . Originally introduced as a Herald for the Eater of Worlds, otherwise known as Galactus, the Silver Surfer was doomed to wander the galaxy, finding new planets for Galactus to devour. Upon arriving on Earth, the Silver Surfer is convinced to spare the planet and forsake Galactus, leading to the omnipotent being trapping the surfer on Earth.
