Although Netflix and Max tend to dominate conversations around streaming releases, Amazon's platform boasts a number of compelling exclusives, from the explicit superhero series The Boys to the elaborate and fantastical Wheel of Time.
Based on Neil Gaiman's novel of the same name, Good Omens is one of the many Amazon exclusives worth streaming on Prime Video. The show follows the angel Arizaphale and demon Crowley as they attempt to prevent Armageddon from unfolding. The pair makes an endearing and comical alliance, so much so that the series goes beyond the events of the source material, expanding upon Gaiman's world and the characters in it.
Another book-to-screen adaptation from Prime Video, Daisy Jones & the Six brings Taylor Jenkins Reid's best-selling novel of the same name to life with an impressive amount of charm. Following the titular rock band during the 1970s, the show chronicles their ups and downs, which include a tumultuous romance that's partly based on Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Given its focus on music, Daisy Jones & the Six features a bunch of great songs.
Based on Robert Jordan's best-selling fantasy books of the same name, The Wheel of Time offers Prime Video subscribers a vast fantasy story teeming with complex magic and fascinating characters. The Wheel of Time came with an already-established fan base thanks to Jordan's novels, but the show has accumulated an even bigger audience since its 2021 debut.
