BG3 has some brilliant side quests throughout.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Just like the average campaign of Dungeons & Dragons, Baldur's Gate 3 is packed full of side quests for the party to take on. While some connect to the main epic quest to save Faerûn, others can be fun distractions that result in awesome equipment or buffs.
The Tharchiate Codex is in the Elminster section of the vault and can be unlocked by opening the doors in the order of Silverhand - Evocation - Wish. Fighting Grym requires the right party composition and a certain amount of strategy, but there is no beating the feeling of when the giant mechanical monster goes down. The party's reward is to use the Adamantine Forge to craft some great armor or weapons, and there is enough mithral in the area for two uses of the forge. Completing this quest will also grant two achievements, "Forged in Blood and Fire" for crafting an item and "A Grym Fate" for defeating Grym.

Investigator Valeria believes that a refugee has killed Father Lorgan, a priest of Ilmater, but Sister Yannis believes otherwise. What follows is a great murder mystery that takes the party all over the new area to uncover the true culprit.
